ANNOUNCEMENT 

Klang, 13 January 2021

 

 

As of 12 January 2021, one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19 and he is currently self-quarantine at home and seeking treatment at a government hospital.

 

The said employee informed the Management that since he learned that his community reported positive Covid-19 cases on 8 January 2021, he has not come to work. He has immediately undergone self-quarantine at home and arrangement was made for him to do a Covid-19 test which was confirmed positive on 12 January 2020.

 

Immediately upon the confirmation of the case, all employees who have close contact with the said employee have been instructed to undergo a Covid-19 test and self-quarantine for 10 days.

 

We have taken proactive measures such as the temporary closure of office and warehouse located at Wawasan Hai-O, Batu 3 ¼, Jalan Kapar, 41400 Klang, Selangor for disinfection and cleaning practices. Sanitisation and disinfection of the affected buildings and all common areas are underway. The said premise will resume operating on 18 January 2021.

 

The health and safety are our top priorities. The Company strictly abides by the SOP and has been implementing precautionary measures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene as recommended by the government for the safety and well-being of all.  

 

Hai-O continues to operate with minimal disruption. The operations of all branches and stockists are not affected and business goes on as usual. Customers / Distributors can also place orders on our website (www.shom.com.my) and ecommerce platform (member.shom.com.my).
